An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government

of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district

located at 309 & 315 6th Street (parcel # 020-001-001, 020-001-002) from HIST

(Historic) Zoning District to GC (General Commercial) Zoning District.



THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:



That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Department is hereby

amended by changing the aforementioned property from HIST (Historic) Zoning

District to GC (General Commercial) Zoning District:



Parcel One:

All that lot, tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the City of

Columbus, County of Muscogee and state of Georgia, and being Known and

designated in a map or plan of said City as Part of City Lot Numbered 422 and

being more particularly described as follows:

Commencing on the North side of Sixth Street of said City between Third and

Fourth Avenue at the Southeast corner of said City Lot numbered 422 and

running thence West along Sixth Street, a distance of 50 feet, to a point;

running thence North, a distance or 73 feet and 10 inches, to a point? running

thence East, a distance of 50 feet, to a point? running thence South, a

distance of 73 feet 10 inches, more or less, to the point of beginning.

Located on the above described property are houses numbered 309 and 311 Sixth

Street according to the present system of numbering houses in Columbus,

Muscogee County, Georgia.

As Well As

All that lot, tract or parcel of land situated, lying and being in the City of

Columbus, county of Muscogee and State of Georgia, and being known and

designated in a map or plan of said City as Part of city Lot Numbered 421 and

being more particularly described as follows:

Beginning on the North side of Sixth Street at a point located 106 feet 3

inches West of the Southeast corner of said City Lot (which corner is the

Northwest corner of the intersection of Sixth Street and Fourth Avenue), and

from said point of beginning running thence West along the North side of Sixth

Street, a distance of 45 feet, to a point; running thence East, a distance of

45 feet, to a point; running thence South, a distance of 75 feet, more or less,

to the point of beginning.

Located on the above described property are houses numbered 313 and 315 Sixth

Street, according to the present system of numbering houses in Columbus,

Muscogee County, Georgia.

Parcel Two:

All that certain lot or parcel of land located, lying and being in Columbus,

Muscogee County, Georgia, being part of city Lot Number 421, and being more

particularly described as follows, to-wit:

Beginning on the North side of Sixth Street at a point Seventy-Seven (77) feet

and Three (3) INCHES West of the Southeast corner of said lot, which is the

Northwest corner of Sixth Street and Fourth Avenue; thence running West on the

North side of Sixth Street, Twenty-Eight (28) feet and Eight (8) inches; thence

running North seventy-Fice (75) feet; thence running East Twenty-Six (26) feet

and eight (8) inches; thence running South Seventy-Five (75) feet to the

beginning point.

On said lot is located dwelling number 317 Sixth Street, according to the

present system of numerical identification of houses in Columbus, Georgia.

--together with and including all rights, members and appurtenances belonging

or in any manner appertaining to said lands (including without limitation any

rights and easements appurtenant to said lands that extend beyond the

boundaries thereof into adjacent or surrounding properties), all buildings,

improvements, trees and shrubbery thereon, and all installations and fixtures

as are presently attached to and made a part of said lands to the extent that

same can no longer be regarded as personal property, including but not limited

to all stationary electrical, plumbing, space-heating, water-heating,

ventilating and air-conditioning installations.



Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia held on the

28th day of March, 2017; introduced a second time at a regular meeting of said

Council held on the day of , 2017 and

adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of members of said

Council.
