SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - Cassandra Court, Gilliam Court, that

portion of Nature Trail and that portion of Cedarbrook Drive located in Nature

Trail Crossing

Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of a deed to

Cassandra Court, Gilliam Court, that portion of Nature Trail and that portion

of Cedarbrook Drive located in Nature Trail Crossing.



Background: Cassandra Court, Gilliam Court, that portion of Nature Trail and

that portion of Cedarbrook Drive located in Nature Trail Crossing has fifty-two

(52) residential lots. The streets have been improved and meet the required

specifications for acceptance by the City.



Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Cassandra Court,

Gilliam Court, that portion of Nature Trail and that portion of Cedarbrook

Drive located in Nature Trail Crossing. A description of the property is as

follows: All those tracts and parcels of land situate, lying and being in

Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and comprising of that portion of

Cedarbrook Drive, from the existing right of way, a portion of Nature Trail

from the existing right of way, Cassandra Court and Gilliam Court in that

certain subdivision known as Nature Trail Crossing, as said streets and

portions of said streets are shown upon a map or plat of said subdivision

recorded in Plat Book 160 folios 32-34 in the office of the Clerk of the

Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia.



Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is

assumed after the two-year warranty.



Legal Considerations: In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code,

all dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.



Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to Cassandra

Court, Gilliam Court, that portion of Nature Trail and that portion of

Cedarbrook Drive located in Nature Trail Crossing.
