A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A SPECIAL EXCEPTION TO OPERATE APERSONAL CARE HOME,
TYPE III IN AN RO (RESIDENTIAL OFFICE) ZONING DISTRICT LOCATED AT 6450
SCHOMBURG ROAD.
WHEREAS, Douglas and Patricia Manuel/John I. Rivers have appropriately applied
for a Special Exception Use to operate a Personal Care Home, Type III on the
subject property; and,
WHEREAS, Personal Care Home, Type III, are permitted solely as a Special
Exception Use under the current RO (Residential Office) zoning district; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Department has reviewed the request and recommends
Approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That all the criteria of Sections 3.2.52 and 10.2.7.B of the Unified
Development Ordinance have been properly met and a Special Exception Use to
allow the operation of a Personal Care Home, Type III is granted for the
property located at 6450 Schomburg Road.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held the
11th day of February, 2014, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote
