Dear Ms. Turner:
I have several reasons for sending this email. They are:
1. To express my sincere appreciation for the handling of my service order
request. I used your website form and submitted it after 11:00 p.m. I
received a prompt reply to my request and a case number was assigned. Someone
from the city was at my home the next morning; I believe the gentleman was with
the Rainwater Management Department. Since I was at work he contacted me on my
cell phone and he also called twice afterwards to let me know the origination
of my problem. He was both courteous and efficient.
2. The problem needs to be corrected by the Water Works. Since I had not
heard from them I sent a follow-up email yesterday to check the status of the
request and received a confirmation of my email immediately. I received a
follow-up call before 8:30 this morning from Sabrina Griffin. She explained
that she had contacted the Water Works yesterday and found out that the repair
crew would be at my home this morning.
3. I would like to personally thank Sabrina for the customer service she
provides. You are fortunate to have her represent your department because her
customer service skills are excellent. She was kind, courteous and extremely
helpful. I had several other questions and she took the time to explain the
answers in great detail. She also sent a follow-up email to confirm everything
she had told me on the phone. This email was sent less than 5 minutes after we
finished our conversation.
4. Finally, I would like to commend your webmaster for your website. It is
attractive and easy to navigate. The FAQs are thorough and helpful. The
ability to submit a service order request online is also an excellent tool.
Columbus is my adopted home town. I am originally from West Virginia and,
while I love my state, I feel fortunate to live in a city that cares about its
citizens. Those who complain about things that are really minor should have to
spend time in an area where boil water advisories are common, dumping trash on
roadsides is accepted, and municipal services are scarce, at best.
I apologize for the length of the email and appreciate you taking the time to
read it.
Sincerely,
Eddie
