SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - That portion of Ivy Wood Drive and that
portion of Forest Crown Drive located in Section Twelve, Phase One, Ivy Park.
INITIATED BY: Engineering
Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of a deed that
portion of Ivy Wood Drive and that portion of Forest Crown Drive located in
Section Twelve, Phase One, Ivy Park.
Background: That portion of Ivy Wood Drive and that portion of Forest Crown
Drive located in Section Twelve, Phase One, Ivy Park has five (5) residential
lots.The streets have been improved and have met the specifications for
acceptance by the City.
Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying that portion of Ivy
Wood Drive and that portion of Forest Crown Drive located in Section Twelve,
Phase One, Ivy Park. A description of the property is as follows: All those
lots, tracts and parcels of land lying and being in Part of Land Lot 234, of
the 19th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and shown as those
portions of Ivy Wood Drive and Forest Crown Drive extending into Section
Twelve, Phase One, Ivy Park, as said roads and rights-of-way are shown on the
map or plat entitled "Section Twelve, Phase One, Ivy Park, Part of Land Lot
234, 19th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia" prepared by Hobbs,
Smith & Assoc., Inc., dated September 27, 2011 said plat recorded in Plat Book
163, Page 127, in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee
County, Georgia.
Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is
assumed after the two-year warranty.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: No City funds are involved until
maintenance is assumed after the two-year warranty.
Legal Considerations: In Accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code,
all dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.
Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to that
portion of Ivy Wood Drive and that portion of Forest Crown Drive located in
Section Twelve, Phase One, Ivy Park.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO THAT PORTION OF IVY WOOD
DRIVE AND THAT PORTION OF FOREST CROWN DRIVE LOCATED IN SECTION TWELVE, PHASE
ONE, IVY PARK. ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.
WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying that portion of
Ivy Wood Drive and that portion of Forest Crown Drive located in Section
Twelve, Phase One, Ivy Park, a full description of property on said deed; and,
WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meets the required specifications
for acceptance by the City; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department inspected said streets and recommends
acceptance of same.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That certain deed dated November 14, 2011, conveying to Columbus,
Georgia that portion of Ivy Wood Drive and that portion of Forest Crown Drive
located in Section Twelve, Phase One, Ivy Park, be and the same is hereby
accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded
in the Deed Records in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee
County, Georgia. A copy of deed is hereto attached and by this reference made a
part of this resolution.
