AN ORDINANCE

An Ordinance amending Section 3-5 of the Columbus Code pertaining to
Prohibited Locations so as to remove all distance restrictions for off premises
sales of alcohol by grocery stores in certain zoning districts.

THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1.
It is hereby ordained that Section 3-5 of the Columbus Code is hereby amended
by adding a new paragraph to be designated 3-5(l) to read as follows:
?3-5(l) Notwithstanding the distance restrictions contained in this code
section, off premise licensees that fit the definition of a grocery store as
set forth in O.C.G.A Section 3-3-21(a)(1)(B), may be licensed under this
Chapter if located on a parcel zoned GC, NC, UPT or CRD.?
SECTION 2.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance
are hereby repealed.
