SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - that portion of Essex Heights Trail
located in Section Two, Wooldridge Heights
INITIATED BY: Engineering Department
Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of a deed to that
portion of Essex Heights Trail located in Section Two, Wooldridge Heights.
Background: That portion of Essex Heights Trail located in Section Two,
Wooldridge Heights has (8) Eight residential lots. The street has been improved
and meets the required specifications for acceptance by the City.
Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying that portion of Essex
Heights Trail located in Section Two, Wooldridge Heights. A description of
property is as follows: All those tract and parcel of land situate, lying and
being in Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and comprising of a portion of
Essex Heights Trail in that certain subdivision known as Section Two,
Wooldridge Heights, as said street is shown upon a map or plat of said
subdivision recorded in Plat Book 163, folio 83 in the office of the Clerk of
the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia.
Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is
assumed after the two-year warranty.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: No City funds are involved until
maintenance is assumed after the two-year warranty.
Legal Considerations: In accordance with Section18-3 of the Columbus Code, all
dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.
Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to that
portion of Essex Heights Trail located in Section Two, Wooldridge Heights.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO THAT PORTION OF ESSEX
HEIGHTS TRAIL LOCATED IN SECTION TWO, WOOLDRIDGE HEIGHTS ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS,
GEORGIA.
WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying that portion of
Essex Heights Trial located in Section Two, Wooldridge Heights, a full
description of property on said deed; and,
WHEREAS, said street has been improved and meets the required specifications of
acceptance by the City; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said streets and recommends
acceptance of same.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That certain deed dated July 11, 2011, conveying Columbus, Georgia that portion
of Essex Heights Trail located in Section Two, Wooldridge Heights be and the
same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said
deed recorded in the Deed Records in the Office of the Superior Court of
Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of deed is hereto attached and by this
reference made a part of this resolution.
