WHEREAS, Mr. Larry M. Carter former employee with the Columbus Police

Department/Investigative Services, died on April 20, 2007;

WHEREAS, Mr. Carter retired on December 31, 2001 after serving 31 years with

the Columbus Police Department/Investigative Services.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Larry M. Carter our sincere condolences

and deepest sympathy. Mr. Carter was an outstanding employee with the Columbus

Police Department/Investigative Services and he will be missed by all who knew

him.

WHEREAS, Mr. Roger C. Vardman former employee with the Fire/EMS Department,

died on May 6, 2007;

WHEREAS, Mr. Vardman retired on October 31, 1998 after serving 30 years with

the Fire/EMS Department.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Roger C. Vardman our sincere condolences

and deepest sympathy. Mr. Vardman was an outstanding employee with the

Fire/EMS Department and he will be missed by all who knew him.

died on April 29, 2007;

WHEREAS, Mr. Spear retired on October 31, 1990 after serving 33 years with the

Columbus Police Department.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Hugh G. Spear our sincere condolences and

deepest sympathy. Mr. Spear was an outstanding employee with the Columbus

Police Department and he will be missed by all who knew him.
