I. BUENA VISTA ROAD (SPIDERWEB) TSPLOST PROJECT:
Approval is requested to proceed with executing the pre-construction
requirements for the Buena Vista Road Transportation Special Local Option Sales
Tax (TSPLOST) Project to include right of way acquisition, permanent and
temporary construction easements, utility relocation, environmental mitigation
and other necessary agreements to prepare projects for construction.
II. RIVERCENTER PARKING GARAGE:
Approval is requested to remove all parking fees at the RiverCenter parking
garage in Uptown. Upon the effective date of this resolution, there will be no
daily parking charges and the special event parking fees will not be charged
after December 31, 2016.
III. DONATIONS FOR SPEAKER FOR "UP AND MOTIVATED" CONFERENCE 2017:
Approval is requested to accept donations of up to $30,000 from various
business entities who wish to support an effort to have Herschel Walker as
guest speaker for the 2017 Up and Motivated Conference. The donations will be
used to cover fees and transportation. Any donated amounts in excess of the
costs of the Up and Motivated Conference will be retained in a designated
account to be used for similar events sponsored by Public Works in future
years.

1. Cherokee Avenue Retaining Wall Repairs ? RFB No. 17-0023
Scope of RFB
Provide repairs to the eastern canal retaining wall at Cherokee Avenue.
Roadway reconstruction shall be done in accordance with GDOT Standard
Specifications for Construction of Transportation Systems, 2013 Edition. The
successful contractor must comply with the FEMA contract provisions.
2. Security Cameras & Accessories for Buses (Annual Contract) ? RFB No. 17-0019
Scope of RFB
Provide security cameras, which will be installed on buses of Metra Transit
System. Approximately 0 ? 28 cameras will be purchased each year, on an ?as
needed? basis. The term of this contract shall be for one year, with the
option to renew for two (2) additional twelve-month periods.
3. Macon Road Fire Training Center ? RFB No. 17-0020
Scope of RFB
The work consists of, but is not limited to the following major elements: 1)
Site Work: To complement Fire Station 9 on Macon Road. Site work to include
earth fill, excavations, grading, paving, drainage, utilities, soil erosion
control, roadways, concrete pads, etc. 2) Fire Training Tower: Columbus
Consolidated Government has purchased a prefabricated 5-story tower to be
constructed by others, coordinated by the successful bidder, on the site.
General Contractor?s work will include coordination, site prep, concrete on
slab work, concrete footings and rebar, concrete work within the 5-story tower,
and utility work and connections to Owner provided and installed gas props,
etc. 3) Control Room: Concrete slab on grade, load bearing masonry walls with
brick veneer, steel roof trusses, metal roofing, approximately 500 sf of new
construction for a control room with toilets and shower. Work includes all
civil, paving, landscaping, mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
4. Retail Space for Park and Ride at the Talbotton/Manchester Expressway
Locations (Annual Contract) ? RFP No. 17-0009
Scope of RFP
The Columbus Consolidated Government seeks a retail/service business to occupy
space within the (Rails-to-Trails) Park and Ride locations. The buildings are
located at 1401 Talbotton Road and 3690 Manchester Expressway (See attached
site plan). Successful respondents will provide a service or combination of
services that meet the needs of the City and surrounding market area. While the
City would prefer that the retail services be oriented around trail uses.
Suggested retail services could include but are not limited to; bike rental and
retail, convenience store (no gas sales), newsstand or other similar service.
The two locations may be leased separately.

1. Traffic Signal Contractor (Annual Contract) ? RFP No. 17-0008
Scope of RFP
Seeking to enter into a contract with a qualified Traffic Signal Contractor who
has the experience, expertise and necessary equipment to perform traffic signal
construction work on an ?as needed? basis. The term of this contract will be
for two (2) years, with the option to renew for three (3) additional
twelve-month periods.
