SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - that portion of Ivy Patch Drive and that

portion of Granite Field Drive located in Section Ten, Phase Two, Ivy Park.



INITIATED BY: Engineering







Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of a deed to that

portion of Ivy Patch Drive and that portion of Granite Field Drive located in

Section Ten, Phase Two, Ivy Park.



Background: That portion of Ivy Patch Drive and that portion of Granite Field

Drive located in Section Ten, Phase Two, Ivy Park has (36) Thirty-six

residential lots. The streets have been improved and meet the required

specifications for acceptance by the City.



Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying that portion of Ivy

Patch Drive and that portion of Granite Field Drive located in Section Ten,

Phase Two, Ivy Park. A description of property is as follows: All those lots,

tracts and parcels of land lying and being in Part of Land Lot 233, of the 19th

District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and shown as that portion of Ivy

Patch Drive and Granite Field Drive extending into Section Ten, Phase Two, Ivy

Park, as said roads and rights-of-way are shown on the map or plat entitled

"Section Ten, Phase Two, Ivy Park, Part of Land Lot 233, 19th District,

Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia" prepared by Hobbs, Smith & Assoc., Inc.,

dated June 9, 2010, said plat recorded in Plat Book 162, page 250, in the

Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia.



Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is

assumed after the two-year warranty.



Legal Considerations: In Accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code,

all dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.



Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to that

portion of Ivy Patch Drive and that portion of Granite Field Drive located in

Section Ten, Phase Two, Ivy Park.





















A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO THAT PORTION OF IVY PATCH

DRIVE AND THAT PORTION OF GRANITE FIELD DRIVE LOCATED IN SECTION TEN, PHASE

TWO, IVY PARK ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying that portion of

Ivy Patch Drive and that portion of Granite Field Drive located in Section Ten,

Phase Two, Ivy Park, a full description of property on said deed; and,

WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meets the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said streets and recommends

acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated July 13th, 2010, conveying Columbus, Georgia

that portion of Ivy Patch Drive and that portion of Granite Field Drive located

in Section Ten, Phase Two, Ivy Park be and the same is hereby accepted. The

Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded in the Deed

Records in the Office of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy

of the deed is hereto attached and by this reference made a part of this

resolution.
