AN ORDINANCE

An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government
of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district
located at 8451, 8461 and 8501 Fortson Road from RE1 (Residential Estate 1)/GC
(General Commercial) with Conditions Zoning District to GC (General Commercial)
Zoning District.
THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:
That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Department be, and the
same is hereby amended by changing the aforementioned properties from RE1
(Residential Estate 1)/GC (General Commercial) with Conditions Zoning District
to GC (General Commercial) Zoning District:
All that lot, tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in Columbus,
Muscogee County, Georgia and being more particularly described on that certain
map or plat entitled "Survey for Raymond Cline, Part of Land Lots 271 & 272,
19th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia" prepared by Moon, Meeks,
Mason and Vinson, Inc. under date of December 6, 2000 and being recorded in
Plat Book 142, Page 78 of the records in the Office of the Clerk of the
Superior Court, Muscogee County, Georgia, to which reference is hereby made for
the more particular location and dimension of said lot.
And
All that lot, tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in Columbus,
Muscogee County, Georgia, containing 15.000 acres of land, and being
denominated as "Parcel 4" on that certain map or plat entitled, "REPLAT OF PART
OF LAND LOT 271 & 272, 19th DISTRICT COLUMBUS, MUSCOGEE COUNTY, GEORGIA", which
map or plat was prepared by Hobbs Smith & Assoc., Inc., under date of November
2, 2004, and was recorded on November 9,2004, in Plat Book 153, Page 2, of the
records in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court, Muscogee County, Georgia,
to which reference is hereby made for the more particular location and
dimension of said 15.000 acre lot.
And
All that lot, tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in Columbus,
Muscogee County, Georgia and being more particularly described on that certain
map or plat entitled "Survey for Eddie and Sarah Barker, Part of Land Lots 271
& 272, 19th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia" prepared by Moon,
Meeks, Mason and Vinson, Inc. under date of December 6, 2000 and being recorded
in Plat Book 142, Folio 97 of the records in the Office of the Clerk of
Superior Court, Muscogee County, Georgia, to which reference is hereby made for
the more particular location and dimension of said lot.
The above-described property is being rezoned subject to the following
condition:
1. Driveway access shall be limited to two (2) commercial driveways to Fortson
Road.
2. Billboards shall not be allowed on this property.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia
held on the 25th day of February, 2014; introduced a second time at a regular
meeting of said Council held on the day of _________________, 2014 and
adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of members of said
Council.
