SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - Kitten Lake Drive located in Phase One
Kitten Lake
INITIATED BY: Engineering
Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of a deed to that
portion of Kitten Lake Drive located in Phase One of Kitten Lake.
Background: Kitten Lake Drive located in Phase One Kitten Lake has (3) three
commercial lots. The street has been improved and meets the required
specifications for acceptance by the City.
Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Kitten Lake Drive
located in Phase One Kitten Lake. A description of property is as follows: All
that lot, tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in Land Lots 67 &
68, 9th District, Muscogee County, Georgia designated as Kitten Lake Drive as
shown upon a map or plat entitled Phase One Kitten Lake, by Moon, Meeks, Mason,
& Vinson, Inc., dated December 9, 2008, recorded in Plat Book 161, Folio 314,
Muscogee County, Georgia records.
Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is
assumed after the two-year warranty.
Legal Considerations: In Accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code,
all dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.
Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to Kitten
Lake Drive located in Phase One Kitten Lake.
A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO KITTEN LAKE DRIVE LOCATED
IN PHASE ONE KITTEN LAKE ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.
WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying Kitten Lake
Drive located in Phase One Kitten Lake, a full description of property on said
deed; and,
WHEREAS, said street has been improved and meets the required specifications
for acceptance by the City; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said street and recommends
acceptance of same.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That certain deed dated June 30, 2010, conveying Columbus, Georgia
Kitten Lake Drive located in Phase One Kitten Lake be and the same is hereby
accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded
in the Deed Records in the Office of the Superior Court of Muscogee County,
Georgia. A copy of the deed is hereto attached and by this reference made a
part of this resolution.
