A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A SPECIAL EXCEPTION TO ESTABLISH A PLACE OF WORSHIP IN
EXCESS OF 250 SEATS AT 7201 FLAT ROCK ROAD.
WHEREAS, My Church of Columbus, Inc., has appropriately applied for a Special
Exception Use to establish a place of worship in excess of 250 seats on the
subject property;
WHEREAS, a place of worship in excess of 250 seats is permitted solely as a
Special Exception Use under the current SFR1 (Single Family Residential 1)
District;
WHEREAS, the Planning Department has reviewed the request and recommends
conditional approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That all the criteria of Section 10.2.7.B have been met and that a
Special Exception Use for a place of worship in excess of 250 seats be granted
for the property at 7201 Flat Rock Road.
A special exception use is granted for the subject property with the
following condition:
Buffers shall be required along all public right-of-way (including the Fall
Line Trace) as determined by the City Arborist and the Inspections and Code
Enforcement Department.

23rd day of July, 2013, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of
members of said Council.
