I. FY10 PUBLIC DEFENDER CONTRACT:



Authorization is requested to enter into an agreement for Indigent Defense

Services with the Circuit Public Defender's Office of the Chattahoochee

Judicial Circuit in the amount of $1,223,748 from July 2009 - June 2010. An

II. GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - HHP GRANT FOR RAILS TO TRAILS:



Authorization is requested to submit an application and if approved accept a

$356,000 grant from the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, and Efficient

Transportation Equity Act for "High Priority Projects". An agenda report and

III. GEORGIA POWER POLE ATTACHMENT AGREEMENT:



Authorization is requested to execute a Pole Attachment Agreement with

Georgia Power to allow the City to attach Traffic Signal Interconnect Cables

and other signal components to timber poles owned by Georgia Power. An agenda

DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA - INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT:



Authorization is requested to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement with

the Development Authority of Columbus Georgia to facilitate the expansion of

NCR Manufacturing facility in Columbus. An Intergovernmental Agreement and

resolution are attached.





V. FINANCE MONTHLY REPORT:



Director Pam Hodge, Finance Department , will present the monthly Finance

Report.





VI. PRESENTATIONS - FLOOD ASSESSMENT - UPDATE:



Deputy City Manager Lisa Goodwin will provide a status report on flood

assessments from January 1, 2009 - April 20, 2009.





VII. PRESENTATION - TRUCK ROUTE SYSTEM REVISION:



Traffic Engineer Manager Ron Hamlett will present the Truck Route System

Revision.

1. Pest Control Services (Annual Contract) ? RFB No. 09-0043

Scope of RFB

Provide pest control services for eighty-nine (89) City owned buildings.

Contract requirements include the control of pests including: mites, ticks,

spiders, rodent, roaches, ants, reptiles and etc. The contract period will be

for two (2) years with the option to renew for three (3) additional

twelve-month periods, if agreeable to both parties.



July 8, 2009

1. Fire Station No. 2 - RFB No. 09-0050

Scope of RFB

Provide construction services for Fire Station No. 2. The 3-bay fire station

will be located at 33rd Street and 11th Avenue. The work consists of, but is

not limited to the following major elements: concrete slab on grade, load

bearing masonry walls with brick veneer, wood roof trusses, metal roofing

(approximately 4,200 square feet for apparatus and approximately 3,800 square

feet for dormitory style housing). The work includes all civil, paving,

landscaping, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.



2. Rest Stop #2 for Warm Springs Bike Trail - RFB No. 09-0051

Scope of RFB

The proposed project will consist of a Park and Ride facility with attached

parking and sitting area to service the Warm Springs Bike Trail. The project

site is located near Peachtree Mall between Reese Road and University Avenue.
