 SUBJECT:	 Street Acceptance - Milky Way, Brightstar Lane, Shootingstar    
 Street,    
 	Stardust Court located in Northstar Crossing       
 INITIATED BY: Engineering Department               
 Recommendation:  Approval is requested for the acceptance of a deed to Milky    
 Way, Brightstar Lane, Shootingstar Street, Stardust Court located in Northstar    
 Crossing.       
 Background:  Milky Way, Brightstar Lane, Shootingstar Street, Stardust Court    
 located in Northstar Crossing has (59) Fifty-nine residential lots. The streets    
 have been improved and meet the required specifications for acceptance by the    
 City.       
 Analysis:  A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Milky Way, Brightstar    
 Lane, Shootingstar Street, Stardust Court located in Northstar Crossing. A    
 description of property is as follows:  All of Milky Way, Brightstar Lane,    
 Shootingstar Street, Stardust Court, lying and being in Northstar Crossing,    
 Part of Land Lot 147, Coweta Reserve and Part of Land Lot 15, 19th land    
 District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia" dated June 17, 2011, made by    
 Becker Survey Company, and recorded in Plat Book 163, Page 76, in the Office of    
 the Clerk of Muscogee County, Georgia.        
 Financial Considerations:  No City funds are involved until maintenance is    
 assumed after the two-year warranty.        
 Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement:  No City funds are involved until    
 maintenance is assumed after the two-year warranty.        
 Legal Considerations:  In Accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code,    
 all dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.       
 Recommendations/ Actions:  Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to Milky    
 Way, Brightstar Lane, Shootingstar Street, Stardust Court located in Northstar    
 Crossing                                       
 A RESOLUTION   
 NO.  _____   
 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO MILKY WAY, BRIGHTSTAR    
 LANE, SHOOTINGSTAR STREET, STARDUST COURT LOCATED IN NORTHSTAR CROSSING ON    
 BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.   
 WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying Milky Way,    
 Brightstar Lane, Shootingstar Street, Stardust Court located in Northstar    
 Crossing, a full description of property on said deed; and,   
 WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meet the required specifications    
 for acceptance by the City; and,   
 WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said streets and recommends    
 acceptance of same.   
 NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:    
 	That certain deed dated June 7, 2011, conveying Columbus, Georgia Milky    
 Way, Brightstar Lane, Shootingstar Street, Stardust Court located in Northstar    
 Crossing be and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby    
 authorized to have said deed recorded in the Deed Records in the Office of the    
 Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of deed is hereto attached    
 and by this reference made a part f this resolution.
