An ordinance amending Section 19-23 of the Columbus Code (Board of Tax
Assessors) so as to provide for filling a vacancy on the Board pursuant to
O.C.G.A ?48-5-295; and for other purposes.

THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1.
Pursuant to O.C.G.A. ?48-5-295, the first sentence of ?19-23 of the
Columbus Code is hereby deleted in its entirety and a new first sentence is
substituted to read as follows:
?(a) Each member of the Board of Tax Assessors shall be appointed for a
term of six (6) years.?
SECTION 2.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance
are hereby repealed.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia held on the
18th day of July, 2006 introduced a second time at a regular meeting of said
