REFERRALS FROM MAYOR & COUNCIL
COUNCIL MEETING OF APRIL 10, 2007
TO THE CITY MANAGER:
GENERAL COMMERCIAL ZONING:
The UDO is a tremendous step forward which assists us in clarifying the
uses of property; however, there may still be some gray areas; therefore, let?s
have the staff to look at some options, to possibly include a variance process
rather than going ahead and endangering the community by putting in general
commercial. (Request of Councilor Henderson)

LIST OF EXPENDITURES FROM LIBRARY BOARD:
If there are some concerns with anything on the list of expenditures from
the Library Board with respect to the Library project, let?s look at them and
possibly discuss it in a Council Work Session prior to us voting on it.
(Request of Councilor Davis)
Let?s get an official letter from the Library Board as to what they are
requesting. (Request of Mayor Pro Tem Turner Pugh)

GEORGIA MUNICIPAL ASSOCIATION:
Have the staff to contact Georgia Municipal Association and ask them to
have someone to come down to Columbus to one of our Work Sessions to explain to
the residents exactly what the Georgia Municipal Association organization is
all about.
(Request of Mayor Pro Tem Turner Pugh)

RFP FOR DEBT COLLECTION:
Have the staff to begin the process of an RFP for debt collection within
the next two to three weeks. (Request of Councilor Woodson)
