RESOLUTION: A resolution commending and congratulating Stacie Kimbell, Legal
Office Specialist student winner of the 2008 GOAL (Georgia Occupational Award
of Leadership) competition for Columbus State Technical College. (Councilor

CONSENT AGENDA
(1) 2nd Reading - An ordinance amending the ?Official Street Map, City of
Columbus, Georgia,? by changing the official street name for the section of
public roadway currently designated as Lynch Road to Technology Parkway
beginning at the north right-of-way line of Chattsworth Road running north to
the south right-of-way line of Macon Road (US-80), to be one street name
consistent with the length of said roadway; authorizing the replacement of
existing street name signs labeled as Lynch Road to Technology Parkway. An

(2) STREET DESIGNATION - TECHNOLOGY PARKWAY:
Authorization is requested for the designation of Technology Parkway
located in Muscogee Technology Park, as a public street. The Department of

Platinum Pro Club or equal); vertical commercial recumbent bikes (Nautilus NR

equipment will be used at the 29th Street Recreation Center.

A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference/Site Visit is scheduled at 11:00 AM (Eastern) on
Thursday, May 1, 2008. Written requests for approval of any materials
submitted on this project as "Equals or Substitutes" for the specified material
must be submitted prior to or at the mandatory pre-bid conference/site visit.
Vendors shall convene in the Conference Room of the Finance
Department/Purchasing Division, which is located at 100 Tenth St, Columbus,
GA. Vendors will be allowed a 10-minute grace period. Any vendor who is not
present in the lobby of the Finance Conference Room within 10 minutes after the
time slated for the beginning of the mandatory pre-bid conference/site visit
shall not be allowed to participate any further in the bid process.

Scope of RFB
A general contractor is currently constructing a new facility at Lake Oliver
Marina, which is located at 5501 River Road, Columbus, GA. Columbus
Consolidated Government is requesting bids for three (3) aluminum docks.
Optional pricing is requested for: (Option 1) an additional dock; (Option 2)
?Trex? type decking for the three docks and the optional dock; (Option 3)
?Iron Wood? type decking for the three docks and the optional dock. At the
appropriate time during the construction of the new marina, the aforementioned
general contractor will install and anchor the floating dock system.

Scope of RFB
A general contractor is currently constructing a new facility at Lake Oliver
Marina, which is located at 5501 River Road, Columbus, GA. Columbus
Consolidated Government is requesting bids for the provision and installation
of a fuel storage and distribution system, including installing the underground
storage tank and distribution system to the dispenser located on the dock. At
the appropriate time during the construction of the new facility, the fuel
storage and distribution system will be installed. Optional pricing is
requested for the installation of a credit card reader, including the necessary
electrical hookups.
2. Roofing Services for Muscogee County Prison & Carver Park Gym ? RFB No.
08-0061
Scope of RFB
Provide all labor, equipment and materials to install a new standing seam metal
roof on Administration Bldg and roof repairs to (3) three SBS membrane roofs at
Muscogee County Prison and to remove the existing build-up roof at Carver Park
Gym and replace with a new TPO roof system. Vendors have the option of bidding
on either or both locations.
