SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - That portion of Splendor Way

and that portion of Foxhall Court located in Section Three, BridgeMill



INITIATED BY: Engineering







Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of that portion

of Splendor Way and that portion of Foxhall Court located in Section Three,

BridgeMill.



Background: That portion of Splendor Way and that portion of Foxhall

Court located in Section Three, BridgeMill has (15) Fifteen residential lots.

The streets have been improved and meet the required specifications for

acceptance by the City.



Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying that portion of

Splendor Way and that portion of Foxhall Court located in Section Three,

BridgeMill. A description of the property is as follows: All those tracts or

parcels of land situate, lying and being in Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia,

and being shown and designated as and comprising all of "Splendor Way and

Foxhall Court" as said streets shown upon that certain map or plat thereof

entitled "Section Three BridgeMill, Lying in Land Lot 260, 19th District,

Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia," dated March 2, 2010, prepared by Moon,

Meeks, Mason & Vinson, Inc., and recorded in Plat Book 162, Folio 208 in the

office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia, to which

map or plat reference is hereby made for a more particular description of the

streets conveyed hereby.



Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is

assumed after the two-year warranty.



Legal Considerations: In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all

dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.



Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to that

portion of Splendor Way and that portion of Foxhall Court located in Section

Three, BridgeMill.



























A RESOLUTION



NO. _____

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO THAT PORTION OF SPLENDOR

WAY AND THAT PORTION OF FOXHALL COURT LOCATED IN SECTION THREE, BRIDGEMILL ON

BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying that portion of

Splendor Way and that portion of Foxhall Court located in Section Three,

BridgeMill, a full description of property on said deed; and,

WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meet the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said streets and recommends

acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated March 12, 2010, conveying to Columbus, Georgia,

that portion of Splendor Way and that portion of Foxhall Court located in

Section Three, BridgeMill be and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of

Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded in the Deed Records in

the Office of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of the

deed is hereto attached and by this reference made a part of this resolution.
