SUBJECT: Northside High School Donation of Batting Cages
INITIATED BY: Parks and Recreation
Recommendation: Approval is requested to accept a donation from Northside High
School to construct batting cages at Northside Recreation Center ball fields.
Background: The batting cages are being donated for use at Northside
Recreation Center ball fields. The approximate cost for the batting cage is
$21,600.00.
Analysis: Parks and Recreation is requesting to receive this batting
cage for Northside Park.
Financial Considerations: This will be at no cost to the City as it is a
private donation and Northside High School will be responsible for the
maintenance of the batting cages.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: None expected
Legal Considerations: Council must approve the acceptance of this donation.
Recommendations/Actions: Approve the donation of the batting cage to be used at
Northside Park.
A RESOLUTION
NO. _____
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO APPROVE AND ACCEPT THE DONATION OF A
BATTING CAGE TO BE PLACED AT NORTHSIDE BALL FIELDS.
WHEREAS, Northside High School has requested to donate a batting cage for use
at Northside Park fields; and,
WHEREAS, having this batting cage will be advantageous for the users of those
fields; and,
WHEREAS, having this batting cage will improve the appearance of Northside Park
Fields.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to accept a batting
cage for Northside Park fields.
