Authorization is requested to submit an application and if awarded

accept $100,000 in grant funds from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources

for multi-purpose drinking stations, and signage along the trail and gateways.

1. Railroad Demolition and Salvage ? RFP No. 08-0015

Columbus Consolidated Government (the City) is soliciting competitive sealed

proposals from experienced, qualified firms to provide all necessary services

to take up, remove and dispose of (including salvage and sale) railroad track

materials located on and to restore land owned by the City of Columbus. This

land is located on the rail line and associated real property known as the

northern segment of the Norfolk Southern Railroad (N.S.).
