8TH AVENUE:



Authorization is requested for the purchase of parcels in the Liberty

District as follows: 840 6th Avenue, 722 6th Avenue, 611 7th Street, 830 9th

Street, 714 6th Avenue, 800 9th Street, and 823 8th Avenue in total amount of

$577,770 and approved exchange of two parcels with Snyder Lance Vista that

will be used for the Liberty District Project. Funding for the purchases is

Authorization is requested to execute a Quit Claim Deed with Warm

1. Storm Drain Rehabilitation Priority 1 Pipes ? Contract 4 ? RFB No. 13-0003

Scope of RFB

The project consists of the following major elements: performing

cured-in-place rehabilitation of 3,800 feet of 12 to 18-inch pipe, 4,000 feet

of 24 to 36-inch pipe and 1,000 feet of 42 to 60-inch pipe; performing CCTV

inspection of 1,200 feet of 10 to 24-inch pipe and 1,900 feet of 30 to 60-inch

pipe; and miscellaneous point repairs, manhole height adjustments and

installation of manholes. Alternate bids will be received for cured-in-place

rehabilitation of 30 feet of 48x24-inch and 1,900 feet of 72x48-inch sewers.

The City will only consider bids from pre-qualified contractors.



2. Veterans Parkway Streetscape Improvements Phase III ? RFB No. 13-0004

Scope of RFB

The Project consists of the following major elements: Roadway Improvements:

erosion control, clearing and grubbing, grading of new medians to include 530

CY of graded aggregate base course, 1,900 LF of 30-inch concrete curb and

gutter, 330 LF of 18-inch concrete storm drain pipe, 28 catch basins, 3,200 SY

concrete sidewalks/driveways, 20 TN recycled asphalt concrete; Signing and

Marking: 260 SF of highway signs, 144 LF of galvanized steel posts, 5,600 LF

of thermoplastic striping, and thermoplastic pavement markings; Landscaping:

1,300 SY of Corner Plaza paving, planting of 84 Quercus Nuttallii and 44

Lagerstroemia (furnished by others), 8,020 SY of Bermuda sod; Signalization:

3,900 LF total of 3-inch and 6-inch directional bore, 8 strain poles with

30-foot to 60-foot mast arms, 2 traffic installation areas, 5,800 LF non-metal

rigid conduit.



Prior to submitting a Bid in an amount greater than $2,000,000.00, the Bidder

shall have prequalified with the Georgia Department of Transportation and

received a Certificate of Qualification in accordance with its Rules and

Regulations. If the bid is $2,000,000 or less, the bidder must be prequalified

or a registered subcontractor by Georgia DOT.



3. Security Equipment for Muscogee County Prison ? RFB No. 13-0008

Scope of Bid

Provide one Ranger Boss II (Body Orifice Security Scanner Chair), one CellSense

Cell Phone Detection Device, and one Multi-Zone Walk-Through Metal Detector

(Intelliscan or equivalent) to Muscogee County Prison.



Due to the unique features of the equipment, Columbus Consolidated Government

will not accept alternate products for the Boss II and CellSense equipment.

However, Columbus Consolidated Government will consider equipment equivalent to

the Intelliscan metal detector.

4. Mid-Size Sedan ? RFB No. 13-0006

Scope of Bid

Provide one (1) mid-size sedan to be used by Parking Division supervisors, of

the METRA Department of Transportation, to perform daily inspections at various

sites, attend scheduled meetings, and for parking enforcement of assigned areas

throughout the City. It will also be used by the Risk Management Investigator

to perform duties specific to the office. The vehicle is a replacement unit.



5. Service Contract for Various Types of Engines (Annual Contract) ? RFB No.

13-0011

Scope of RFB

Provide repair/rebuild various types of engines to METRA Transit System on an

?as needed? basis. The contract period will be for three years, with the

option to renew for two additional twelve-month periods.



August 17, 2012

1. On-Call Services for Installation or Replacement of Sidewalks and ADA Ramps

located throughout Columbus, GA (Annual Contract) ? RFP No. 13-0001

Scope of RFP

Install or replace sidewalks, ADA ramps and minor concrete work, such as

driveway aprons, concrete islands, curb and gutter, etc., throughout

Columbus-Muscogee County, on an as-needed basis. The City intends to contract

with at least three vendors to provide the services on a rotation basis.



2. On-Call Services for Installation or Replacement of Storm Sewer / Combined

Sewer Systems located throughout Columbus, GA (Annual Contract) ? RFP No.

13-0002

Scope of RFP

Install or replace elements of storm sewer / combined sewer systems located

throughout Columbus-Muscogee County, on an as-needed basis. The City intends

to contract with at least three vendors to provide the services on a rotation

basis.



3. Electronic Document Management System ? RFP No. 13-0003

Scope of RFP

The Columbus Consolidated Government (the City) is seeking proposals for a

vendor to provide software to manage employee personnel files electronically

for the Human Resources Department.

Scope of RFB

Provide (1) Roll-in Double-Rack Gas Oven (LBC BakerSeries LRO-2G or equal), (1)

Floor Charbroiler (MagiKitch?n FM-RMB-660 or equal), and (1) Pizza Mixer

(Hobart Legacy HL662 or equal) to Muscogee County Prison.



2. Columbus Ice Rink Counter & Cabinet Project ? RFB No. 13-0012

Scope of RFB

Work under this contract shall include constructing an L-shaped counter with

electric service and door to go into the existing Ice Rink Pro Shop, and

constructing a 10-foot tall commercial display case and a 10-foot tall trophy

case.



3. Used Oil & Antifreeze Recycling Services (Annual Contract) ? RFB No. 13-0013

Scope of RFB

Vendor will pay a fee for the contractual right to remove and recycle used oil

& antifreeze, at the following locations: 1011 Cusseta Road and 3950 Schatulga

Road, Columbus, Georgia. The initial term of this contract shall be for three

years, with the option to renew for two additional twelve-month periods.



4. In-Car Video Systems ? RFB No. 13-0014

Scope of RFB

Provide thirty-six (36) Eagleye Model 200 Digital In-Car Video Systems, which

include two (2) 32Gb SD Cards, LCD Monitor and Body Pack, and Crash Sensor, to

be used in pursuit vehicles. Thirty (30) units will be used by the Columbus

Police Department and six (6) units will be used by the Marshal?s Office. Price

is to include the removal of old units and installation of new units. Once this

bid is awarded, it shall remain in effect until the new Annual Contract for

Pursuit Cars Build-out is awarded.

1. High Speed Rail Feasibility Study ? RFP No. 13-0005

Scope of RFP

The Columbus Consolidated Government (CCG), in cooperation with the Georgia

Department of Transportation (GDOT) and the Federal Rail Administration (FRA),

will prepare a feasibility study. The project will consist of eight main

components designed to assess the feasibility of developing (High Speed Rail)

HSR along the Atlanta-Columbus corridor.
