SUBJECT: Quit Claim Deed on Property located at 5117 12th Avenue
INITIATED BY: Amy, Carbajal, Director of Community Reinvestment
Recommendation: Approval is requested to execute a Quit Claim Deed to release
the City's interest in the property at 5117 12th Avenue.
Background: The City purchased the property at 5117 12th Avenue with CDBG
funding. The City donated property to Columbus Housing Initiative, Inc., for
the purpose of Affordable Housing. Columbus Housing Initiative, Inc.,
developed an affordable home and sold to an income qualified buyer.
Analysis: Columbus Housing Initiative, Inc., and the City have all met HUD
requirements.
Financial Considerations: There is no expense to the City.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: N/A
Legal Considerations: The council must approve the action by resolution.
Recommendations/ Actions: Authorizing the City Manager to execute a Quit Claim
Deed to release the City's interest in the property located at 5117 12th
Avenue.
A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM DEED FOR THE
RELEASE OF THE CITY'S INTEREST IN THE PROPERTY LOCATED 5117 12TH AVENUE.
WHEREAS, the City purchased the property with CDBG funding; and,
WHEREAS, the City donated the property to Columbus Housing Initiative, Inc.,
for the purpose of Affordable Housing; and,
WHEREAS, Columbus Housing Initiative, Inc., has developed an affordable home
and sold said home to an income qualified buyer.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a Quit Claim Deed
to release the City's interest in the property at 5117 12th Avenue.
