Received call from Cathy Gardner with complaint about her apartment complex
limited handicap parking. Management has promised to install more signage,
asked me to call.
706-992-1531 Explained to Ms. Gardner of Federal laws concerning handicap
designated parking. Called Tammy at Cloister Apartments, confirmed signage
installation. Will follow up.
706-332-8270 Followed up with Tammy and signage was delivered and will be
installed.
Received call from Jeff Champion asking for assistance with ramp or more
accessibility for his friend, Maxie Thompson at Chapman Homes Housing (Apt.
#304-B). 706-689-7999 or 706-566-1798 Forwarded information/ request to Beverly Lamee with
Housing Authority. Ms. Lamee informed me and forwarded information to Mr.
Alonzo Rivers with Columbus Housing Authority (Management Director). Conducted call
follow-up with Mr. Champion and sent out another email to Mr. Rivers to
follow-up. (Mr. Champion said he did receive a call).
Received a call from Gregory McDuffie (Columbus Blind Association) following up
on my receipt of the group?s event announcement. Returned reply via email to
Mr. McDuffie confirming I had forwarded the event information to my contact
list.
Received call from Jeffery Nix requesting form for handicap parking permit (to
be mailed or emailed to him). 706-569-0361

attempting to contact Tag Registration Office. Received return calls from Tony Floyd
and Sabrina Hicks. (Left messages). Will follow up.
Received call from SGT. Lee requesting assistance with building a ramp for his
wife.

members and add name to waiting list.
Attended Mayor?s Committee for Person?s with Disabilities Executive Board
Meeting. Gave updates and planning for Disability Day in May at the Government Center. Will send
follow-ups and reports requested to members.
Call received from Ms. Culpepper requesting information on assistance for her
disabled son. 706-649-7188. Returned call to Ms. Culpepper; had to leave a message. Will do follow-up.
