from GC (General Commercial) to RMF1 (Residential Multi-Family 1) zoning

1. Columbus South Development Opportunity ? RFP No. 08-0025
Scope of RFP
The City of Columbus is seeking proposals for the purchase and development of
35.57 (+/-) acres of vacant land located off Cusseta Road and Fort Benning
Road. Over the past few years, this area has seen revitalization efforts that
helped improve the quality of life of the community by building new housing and
adding new businesses. Some of the housing developments include the Baker
Village Revitalization, which will create 244 new apartment units, and the
Ambling Development, which is anticipating creating 250 units. In addition,
several transportation improvements are underway, such as a proposed four (4)
lane widening of Cusseta Road, which will help alleviate congestion problems
and will improve access to the area.
2. Traffic Incident Management Services (Annual Contract) ? RFP No.
09-0009
Scope of RFP
Provide Traffic Incident Management Service (Wrecker Service) on an ?as needed
basis? for various departments of Columbus Consolidated Government. The
contract term shall be for five (5) years.

1. Fuel Dispensers
Provide and install two (2) commercial dispensers for diesel fuel with a total
of four (4) hoses to Metra Transit System. The successful vendor is
responsible for removal of existing fuel dispensers and reconnecting the TRAK
automatic fuel system.
The City of Columbus requires all responding vendors to inspect the existing
fuel dispensers prior to submitting a bid. Upon arrival at Metra Transit
System, vendors desiring to perform this inspection will be required to sign an
attendance sheet. Vendors may schedule site visits through Thomas Taylor or

Scope of RFP
Provide Columbus Consolidated Government, Community Reinvestment Department
with moving and storage services on an ?as needed basis?, to temporarily
relocate residents under the Homeowner Rehabilitation Assistance Program. The
contract term shall be for two years, with the option to renew for three (3)
additional twelve-month periods. Contract renewal will be contingent upon the
mutual agreement of the City and the Contractor.

Scope of Bid
Vendors are requested to provide pricing for only the community weather station
network itself and/or provide the pricing for the provision and installation of
the community weather station network. The network will consist of eight (8)
weather stations and will be used by the Departments of Engineering and
Fire/EMS.
2. Bleachers (Re-Bid) ? RFP No. 09-0011
Scope of Bid
Provide eight (8) sets of bleachers to be used by the Parks & Recreation
Department.
3. Flail Mower ? RFP No. 09-0015
Scope of Bid
Provide one (1) Flail Mower that will be used by the Right-Of-Way Maintenance
Division of the Public Services Department to cut grass on right-of-ways,
detention ponds and city owned property throughout Muscogee County.

1. Consulting Services for Historic Design Guidelines ? RFP No. 09-0001
Scope of RFP
The Columbus Consolidated Government is seeking proposals to update and
reformat the existing Design Guidelines used for approval of Certificate of
Appropriateness in the locally designated historic districts. This project does
not call for entirely new sets of guidelines. Instead, the successful
consultant will work with and refine existing guidelines creating opportunities
for interpretations that are more specific, color renderings, digitalization,
and other tools.
