A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A SPECIAL EXCEPTION TO OPERATE A PLACE OF WORSHIP
EXCEEDING 250 SEATS; A DAY CARE CENTER (TYPE III); AND A PRIVATE SCHOOL LOCATED
AT 2000 KAY CIRCLE; 1703 AND 1723 SHEFFIELD DRIVE; AND 1820 BOX ROAD.
WHEREAS, St. Anne?s Catholic Church has appropriately applied for a Special
Exception Use to operate a Place of Worship (in excess of 250 seats); a Day
Care Center (Type III); and a Private School on the subject properties;
WHEREAS, Place of Worship (in excess of 250 seats); a Day Care Center (Type
III); and a Private School are permitted solely as a Special Exception Use
under the current SFR2 (Single Family Residential 2) zoning district;
WHEREAS, the Planning Department has reviewed the request and recommends
Approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That all the criteria of Section 10.2.7.B of the Unified Development
Ordinance has been properly met and a Special Exception Use to allow the
operation of a Place of Worship (in excess of 250 seats); a Day Care Center
(Type III); and a Private School are granted for the properties located at 2000
Kay Circle; 1703 and 1723 Sheffield Drive; and 1820 Box Road.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held the
9th day of December, 2014, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote
