A RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Mr. Dan Amos, Chairman and CEO of AFLAC, has recently been named one
of the 100 Most Influential Georgians by Georgia Trend Magazine;
WHEREAS, Mr. Amos supervises a company which insures 40 million people
and is a leading employer in Columbus;
WHEREAS, he was also instrumental in introducing the beloved AFLAC duck seen in
commercials worldwide by millions;
WHEREAS, AFLAC?s revenue rose to 16.6 billion in 2008 and under Dan Amos?
leadership, AFLAC has repeatedly been recognized by Fortune magazine as one of
America?s Most Admired Companies;
WHEREAS, the accomplishments of Mr. Dan Amos are worthy of special recognition
by this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend and congratulate Mr. Dan Amos upon his selection as one of
the 100 Most Influential Georgians by Georgia Trend Magazine. Columbus is proud
of his accomplishments and we wish him every success in the future. Let a copy
of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Dan Amos.
