RESOLUTION
NO.
WHEREAS, during their distinguished career, Oliver Holston & the Reverend
Robert Lee Holston, made significant contributions to the East Wynnton
community;
WHEREAS, Oliver Holston was the proud father of the Reverend Robert Lee
Holston; and,
WHEREAS, Oliver Holston & the Reverend Robert Lee Holston worked hard to have a
positive effect on their community in the East Wynnton community; and,
WHEREAS, Reverend Robert Lee Holston currently resides in the house that he was
born in, in the East Wynnton community; and,
WHEREAS, Oliver Holston & the Reverend Robert Lee Holston used their skills in
the construction field to construct beautiful buildings in the East Wynnton
Community; and,
WHEREAS, Oliver Holston & the Reverend Robert Lee Holston were positioned as
Ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and also general contractors; and,
WHEREAS, in their Pastoral duties, which together spans over 75 years of
service, they served a church located in the East Wynnton community, in which
they both lived; and,
WHEREAS, Oliver Holston & the Reverend Robert Lee Holston used their spiritual
gifts to reach thousands by radio for many, many years; and,
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY
RESOLVES:
In honor of Oliver Holston & the Reverend Robert Lee Holston and their devotion
to the East Wynnton community; that the block adjacent to the church on
Radcliff Avenue in Columbus, Georgia is hereby designated ?Holston Way?. This
honorary designation shall not change the official street map, but the Traffic
Engineer is hereby authorized to erect appropriate signage in a color
distinguishable from standard street signage. Let a copy of this Resolution be
forwarded to Reverend Robert Lee Holston.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia held
