A RESOLUTION
No.
WHEREAS, Mr. Milton Lockett, President of the Columbus Against Drugs (CAD), and
his volunteers have been working for 15 years in Columbus neighborhoods to form
Anti-Drug groups;
WHEREAS, CAD was formed in March, 1992 using the Hermon Wrice Criterion
and is a network of organized neighborhood groups that works together with law
enforcement agencies to remove drug dealers and property used for drug
activities;
WHEREAS, CAD works with law enforcement to conduct neighborhood watches and
marches to make drug dealers aware that drug use will not be tolerated in
Columbus neighborhoods;
WHEREAS, CAD serves as an umbrella organization for ten different neighborhood
groups;
WHEREAS, the accomplishments of Mr. Milton Lockett and the CAD volumteers are
worthy of special recognition by this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend and congratulate Mr. Milton Lockett and all of the volunteers
of Columbus Against Drugs upon their 15th Anniversary and we wish them every
success in the future. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Milton
Lockett.

6th day of March, 2007, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of
