A RESOLUTION
No.
WHEREAS, Jason Gamache, owner of Perfect Touch Automotive Playground (PTAP),
and his father Jack Gamache have shipped more than 48,000 toys to Iraq and
Afghanistan for distribution to children in the region;
WHEREAS, the Gamaches began this mission locally and have set a goal of
shipping 100,000 toys to various non-profits, military bases and war-torn areas
around the world;
WHEREAS, the toys are stored at PTAP?s Columbus warehouse and then shipped
worldwide with the help of the Family Readiness Group at Fort Benning;
WHEREAS, toys and stuffed animals are being collected at PTAP and at all
Columbus and Phenix City fire stations;
WHEREAS, the generosity of Jason and Jack Gamache is worthy of special
recognition by this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend and express our deep appreciation to Jason and Jack Gamache
for their donations and shipments of toys and stuffed animals to needy children
in the Columbus area and around the world. Columbus is proud of their
generosity and we wish them every success in the future. Let a copy of
this resolution be forwarded to Jason and Jack Gamache.

11th day of December, 2007, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote
