SUBJECT: Donation for Woodruff Farm Soccer Complex
INITIATED BY: Parks and Recreation Department
Recommendation: Approval is requested to accept a donation of up to $15,000
from Columbus Youth Soccer Club for the purchase of two lawn mowers for use
exclusively at Woodruff Farm Soccer Complex.
Background: Columbus Youth Soccer Club (CYSC) has requested to make a donation
to the Parks and Recreation Department of the sum of up to $15,000. This money
must be used to purchase two lawn mowers for exclusive use at Woodruff Farm
Soccer Complex.
Analysis: CYSC has expressed a desire to donate the vehicle to Parks and
Recreation to help in the maintenance and upkeep of Woodruff Farm Soccer
Complex.
Financial Considerations: This will be at no cost to the City as it is a
private donation.
Legal: Council must approve the acceptance of this donation.
Recommendation: Approval is requested to accept the donation of up to $15,000
from CYSC for the purchase of two lawn mowers for exclusive use at Woodruff
Farm Soccer Complex.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO APPROVE AND ACCEPT THE DONATION OF UP TO
$15,000 FROM COLUMBUS YOUTH SOCCER CLUB FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO LAWN MOWERS FOR
EXCLUSIVE USE AT WOODRUFF FARM SOCCER COMPLEX.
WHEREAS, Columbus Youth Soccer Club desires to donate a sum up to $15,000 for
two lawn mowers to be purchased for exclusive use at Woodruff Farm Soccer
Complex; and
WHEREAS, the lawnmowers will be used for the maintenance and upkeep of Woodruff
Farm Soccer Complex; and
WHEREAS, Columbus Youth Soccer Club will donate this money and will be of no
cost to the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to accept the
donation of a sum up to $15,000 for the purchase of two lawn mowers for
exclusive use at Woodruff Farm Soccer Complex.
