SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - That portion of Pebblebrook Lane
located in Addition to Section Two, Riverbrook
INITIATED BY: Engineering Department
Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of a deed to That
portion of Pebblebrook Lane located in Addition to Section Two, Riverbrook.
Background: That portion of Pebblebrook Lane located in Addition to Section
Two, Riverbrook has fourteen (14) residential lots. This street has been
improved and meets the specifications for acceptance by the City.
Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying that portion of
Pebblebrook Lane located in Addition to Section Two, Riverbrook. A description
of the property is as follows: That certain tract or parcel of land designated
as Pebblebrook Lane as shown upon a map or plat entitled "Addition to Section
Two, Riverbrook, Part of Land Lot 83, 8th District, Columbus, Muscogee County,
Georgia" as prepared by Hobbs Smith & Assoc., Inc., dated May 4, 2012 and
recorded in Plat Book 163, Page 223, in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior
Court of Muscogee County, Georgia.
Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is
assumed after the two-year warranty.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: No City funds are involved until
maintenance is assumed after the two-year warranty.
Legal Considerations: In Accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code,
all dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.
Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the resolution accepting a deed to that
portion of Pebblebrook Lane located in Addition to Section Two, Riverbrook.
A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO THAT PORTION OF
PEBBLEBROOK LANE LOCATED IN ADDITION TO SECTION TWO, RIVERBROOK ON BEHALF OF
COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.
WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying that portion of
Pebblebrook Lane located in Section Two, Riverbrook, a full description of
property on said deed; and,
WHEREAS, said street has been improved and meets the required specifications
for acceptance by the City; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department inspected said street and recommends
acceptance of same.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That certain deed dated August 29, 2012, conveying to Columbus, Georgia
that portion of Pebblebrook Lane located in Section Two, Riverbrook, be and the
same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said
deed recorded in the Deed Records in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court
of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of deed is hereto attached and by this
reference made a part of this resolution.
