An Ordinance amending Article XX of Chapter 2 of the Columbus Code to provide
that members of the Retiree Health Benefit Committee do not have to be
residents of Columbus, Georgia; and for other purposes.

THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1.
Article XX of Chapter 2 of the Columbus Code is hereby amended by adding a new
Section 2-273(4) to read as follows:
?Notwithstanding anything in this Code or any oath required by this Code,
members of the Retiree Health Benefit Committee shall not be required to reside
in Columbus, Georgia.?
SECTION 2.
Article XX of Chapter 2 of the Columbus Code is hereby amended by adding a new
Section 2-273(5) to read as follows:
?Notwithstanding any other ordinance or resolution of the Columbus Council, a
member of the Retiree Health Benefit Committee shall be able to serve
simultaneously on another board, commission or authority of Columbus,
Georgia.
SECTION 3.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are
hereby repealed.

26th day of February, 2013, introduced a second time at a regular meeting of
