AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MISCELLANEOUS DRIVING RULES OF THE
CONSOLIDATED GOVERNMENT OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA BY AMENDING CITY CODE SECTION
20-9.48 BY RESTRICTING TRUCKS TO A MAXIMUM OF SEVEN (7) TONS AND/OR A LENGTH OF
24 FEET FROM TRAVELING ALONG CHATTSWORTH ROAD FROM TECHNOLOGY PARKWAY TO
MIDLAND ROAD AND ALONG MIDLAND ROAD FROM CHATTSWORTH ROAD TO MACON ROAD, EXCEPT
TO MAKE A DELIVERY OR PICK UP; AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF OFFICIAL TRAFFIC
CONTROL SIGNS INDICATING SAID TRUCK RESTRICTIONS; REPEALING CONFLICTING
ORDINANCES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I.
That it shall be unlawful for any truck exceeding the weight limit of
seven (7) tons and or a length of 24 feet to travel the streets, avenues and
roadways except to make a delivery or pickup on the following roadway:
Chattsworth Road from Technology Parkway to Midland Road;
Midland Road from Chattsworth Road to Macon Road.
SECTION II
The official traffic control signs shall be installed indicating the truck
restrictions described here within Section I.
SECTION III
All ordinances and parts of any ordinances in conflict with this
ordinance are hereby repealed.

held on the 30th day of September, 2008; introduced a second time at a regular
