CITY ATTORNEY'S AGENDA
FOR THE MEETING OF FEBRUARY 23, 2016
O R D I N A N C E S:
(1) 1st Reading ? REZN-11-15-2375 ? Property located at 8692 Veterans Parkway
is proposed for rezoning from SFR1 (Single Family Residential 1) zoning
district to NC (Neighborhood Commercial) zoning district. (Owner: Linda E.
Cooke) (District 6-Councilor Allen) The proposed use is commercial retail
stores and coffee shop. The Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning
Department recommended approval.
(2) 1st Reading ? REZN-11-15-2344 ? Request to amend the text of the Unified
Development Ordinance (UDO) by changing sections 3.2.72.K.1 (B) and adding
sections 3.2.72.O as well as section 3.2.72.O.B. These changes will allow for
concealed support structures designed for small cell technology to be placed
within the public roads and /or right-of-way. The Planning Advisory Commission
and the Planning Department recommended approval. (Mayor Pro-Tem Pugh)
R E S O L U T I O N S:
(3) Requesting that the local delegation to the Georgia General Assembly
introduce the attached local legislation to eliminate the Columbus, Georgia
Assessment Freeze for all homestead property acquisitions after January 1,
2017. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded by the Clerk of Council to
each member of the local delegation to the Georgia General Assembly. (Mayor
