A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A SPECIAL EXCEPTION TO OPERATE A PRIVATE SCHOOL AT
7201 MOON ROAD.
WHEREAS, S. Carson Cummings on behalf of The Campus has appropriately applied
for a Special Exception Use to allow for the operation of a private school;
WHEREAS, Private Schools are permitted solely as a Special Exception Use under
the current RO (Residential Office) zoning district;
WHEREAS, the Planning Advisory Commission has reviewed the request and
recommends approval and the Planning Department has reviewed the request and
recommends conditional approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That all the criteria of Section 10.2.7.B of the Unified Development
Ordinance has been properly met and a Special Exception Use to allow the
operation of a private school is granted for the property located at 7201 Moon
Road subject to the following condition:
o The two (2) southernmost parking spaces shall be eliminated to allow for
vehicles to turn around since no cul-de-sac exists by the end of the road.

13th day of August, 2013, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote
of members of said Council.
