SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - Vineyard Lane, that portion of Grapevine

Trail and that portion of Cupola Place located in Arbor Pointe Phase II, AKA

Baker Village

Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of a deed to Vineyard

Lane, that portion of Grapevine Trail and that portion of Cupola Place located

in Arbor Pointe Phase II, AKA Baker Village.



Background: Vineyard Lane, that portion of Grapevine Trail and that portion of

Cupola Place located in Arbor Pointe Phase II, AKA Baker Village has

twenty-four (24) commercial lots. The streets have been improved and have met

the specifications for acceptance by the City.



Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Vineyard Lane, that

portion of Grapevine Trail and that portion of Cupola Place located in Arbor

Pointe Phase II, AKA Baker Village. A description of the property is as

follows: All those tracts or parcels of land shown and identified as Vineyard

Lane 50' R/W, Grapevine Trail 50' R/W and Cupola Place 50' R/W on that plat

entitled "Final Plat of Phase 2 Baker Village" recorded in Plat Book 162, Pages

232-233, Muscogee County records, said tracts or parcels of land being more

fully described on Exhibit "A".



Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is

assumed after the two-year warranty.



Legal Considerations: In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code,

all dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.



Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the acceptance of Vineyard Lane, that

portion of Grapevine Trail and that portion of Cupola Place located in Arbor

Pointe Phase II, AKA Baker Village









A RESOLUTION

NO. _____

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO VINEYARD LANE, THAT

PORTION OF GRAPEVINE TRAIL AND THAT PORTION OF CUPOLA PLACE LOCATED IN ARBOR

POINTE PHASE II, AKA BAKER VILLAGE, ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying Vineyard Lane,

that portion of Grapevine Trail and that portion of Cupola Place located in

Arbor Pointe Phase II, AKA Baker Village, a full description of property on

said deed; and,

WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meet the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said streets and recommends

acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated July 20, 2010, conveying to Columbus, Georgia, Vineyard

Lane, that portion of Grapevine Trail and that portion of Cupola Place located

in Arbor Pointe Phase II, AKA Baker Village, be and the same is hereby

accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded

in the Deed Records in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of

Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of deed is hereto attached and by this

reference made a part of this resolution.
