AN ORDINANCE REGULATING VEHICULAR TRAFFIC IN COLUMBUS, GEORGIA BY

DELETING ORDINANCE NO. 06-77 IN ITS ENTIRITY; ESTABLISHING NO PARKING ZONES

ALONG THE WEST CURB OF FLOURNOY DRIVE AND ALONG THE EAST CURB OF CHEROKEE

AVENUE; ESTABLISHING A TWO HOUR PARKING ZONE ALONG THE EAST CURB OF FLOURNOY

DRIVE WITH SAID RESTRICTIONS DESCRIBED HERE WITHIN; AUTHORIZING THE

INSTALLATION OF OFFICIAL TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNS INDICATING SAID PARKING

RESTRICTIONS; REPEALING ANY CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY ORDAINS:



SECTION I.



That Ordinance No. 06-77 is hereby repealed in its entirety.



SECTION II.



That a No Parking Anytime zone is hereby established along the

west curb of Flournoy Drive beginning at the south curb of 17th Street and

running southwesterly a distance 626 feet.



SECTION III.



That a No Parking Anytime zone is hereby established along the west

curb of Flournoy Drive beginning at the east curb of Cherokee Avenue and

running northeasterly a distance of 165 feet.



SECTION IV.



That a Two (2) Hour Parking zone is hereby established along the east

curb of Flournoy Drive from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM beginning at the south curb of

17th Street and running southwesterly to the east curb of Cherokee Avenue.



SECTION V.



That a No Parking Anytime zone is hereby established along the east

curb of Cherokee Avenue beginning at the north curb of Flournoy Drive and

running north a distance of 150 feet.





SECTION VI.



That official traffic control signs shall be installed indicating the

parking restrictions described here within Sections II and V.



SECTION VII.



That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this

ordinance are hereby repealed.



Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus,

Georgia, held on the ______ day of October 2011; introduced a

second time at a regular meeting of said Council held on the day of

October 2011, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of

______ members of Council.
