A RESOLUTION
No.
WHEREAS, Columbus Fire and EMS was recently recognized as Emergency Medical
Service of the Year at the Regions 7 Awards Banquet;
WHEREAS, Captain Nate Bader, Director of EMS Education for Columbus, was also
recognized as Educator of the Year;
WHEREAS, special recognition was also given to Fire and EMS personnel who
responded to the day care center recently in Columbus;
WHEREAS, the Columbus EMS serves nearly 250,000 residents spread over 221
square miles using a network of 14 stations and 5 divisions;
WHEREAS, our EMS also responds to more than 1,000 calls per
month and is accredited by the Commission on Fire Accreditation, one of only
106 in the world;
WHEREAS, the accomplishments of Columbus Fire and EMS are worthy of special
recognition by this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend and congratulate all members of Columbus Fire and EMS,
Captain Nate Bader, and Chief Jeff Meyer upon receipt of awards for Emergency
Medical Service of the Year and Educator of the Year. Columbus is proud of
their accomplishments and we wish them every success in the future. Let a
copy of this resolution be forwarded to Chief Jeff Meyer and Captain Nate Bader.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia held on the
13th day of April, 2010, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of
