Board Meeting Minutes

June 17, 2008



A Meeting of the Community Development Advisory Council was held at the

Government Center Annex Building, 420 10th Street, June 17, 2008.



Members Present: Lula Arrington, Stephen D? Ostroph, Homer Kuhl, John Partin,

Eddie Roberts, Arthur Rogers, Leigh Stewart, Charles Weaver



Members Absent: La Fini Mosby, Daniel Priban, Bryan Stone,



CALL TO ORDER:



The meeting was called to order by John Partin, Chair. A quorum was present.

The Minutes of the March 18, 2008 Meeting were approved as presented.



The Board was given an update on the status of the FY 2008 Annual Action Plan

and Budget. A change was made to the proposed Budget by the City Manager. The

change was a reduction in funding to Wynnton Neighborhood Housing and increase

in funding to Neighborworks Columbus. Both organizations have housing

rehabilitation programs.



The Board was informed of the City?s annual Housing Summit and the annual

Housing Month currently being conducted during June 2008.



The Board was information on an opportunity to refinance the City?s Section 108

Loan for the remainder of its term. The loan would become a fixed interest

rate loan and the refinancing would reduce the interest expense over the

remaining 8 years. A motion was made by Board Member Eddie Roberts to approve

the proposed refinancing and recommend the change to the City Manager for City

Council?s approval. Board Member Homer Kuhl seconded the motion. The motion

passed.



The Board review and discussed the Board attendance record. The Board was

reminded of the importance of attendance at the meetings.
