A RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Jordan Vocational High School automotive program has been named
the National Champion in the Quaker State Best in Class Challenge;
WHEREAS, the Jordan team finished first out of ten semifinalists in the Atlanta
market during the Quaker State Best in Class Challenge online voting September
12-25;
WHEREAS, teacher Robert Harris and team members Joseph Craigen, Trennie West,
Jacob Wilton, Joseph Camacho, Breanna Price, Austin Bedsole, Alejandro Gomez,
Evan Barefield, Jordan Battles, Dante Lummus, and Jacob Van Eram will be taking
their classic Ford Mustang to the world?s greatest classic car show in April;
WHEREAS, the Mustang will be shown at the Barrett-Jackson auction held April
6-8 in West Palm Beach, Florida;
WHEREAS, the Jordan Team will be allowed to keep the profit from the sale of
their Mustang and will receive a $2,500 credit at AutoZone and a customized
tool kit valued at $500;
WHEREAS, the accomplishments of the Jordan Vocational High School automotive
team members are worthy of special recognition by this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend and congratulate the following members of the Jordan
Vocational High School automotive program upon being named National Champion of
the Quaker State Best in Class Challenge: Joseph Craigen, Trennie West, Jacob
Wilton, Joseph Camacho, Breanna Price, Austin Bedsole, Alejandro Gomez, Evan
Barefield, Fred Coffer, Dante Lummus, Jacob Van Eram and teacher Robert
Harris. Columbus is proud of this team?s accomplishments and we wish them
every success in the future. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the
above-named participants.
