Subject: concerning March 8, 2011 meeting

March 15, 2011

Dear Council Member(s),

My name is Jessica Stadnik and I stood before you March 8, 2011 in

regards to the rezoning issue on Psalmond Road. While most of the concerns were

resolved there are a few issues I would like to present now.

The first issue is that there was a petition signed by at least 30 people

within and surrounding our community (as you have in your records) and this was

brought up at the meeting and was said by the Woodruff Co. representative that

this should be null and void since the petition was dated March and they were

not involved until December 2010. Whether that is fact or not, that was not the

purpose of the petition. Having also been stated by the Woodruff Co.

representative that we are a community scared of change, and this is simply not

true. I would like to first and foremost have it be known that our community is

under the complete understanding and compliance that there will be a

development at some point regardless of the company. The foremost concern from

our community was to have continuing standard of at least ? acre to 1 acre

lots. I would like it known that this petition is not null and void because a

suitable builder was found, the petition stands because the concerns are still

relevant.

It was stated in the March 8 meeting that Mr. Buster Barber and Mrs. Andrea

Stadnik received letters outlining what the Woodruff Co. was willing to provide

to maintain satisfaction of privacy to the two most affected residents. We only

recently received these letters and the benefits described differentiate from

the proposal set before the council.

These issues coupled with the capacity raises safety concerns within the

community and a heightened awareness to these issues would be beneficial not

only to established residents but those eventually moving into the community as

well.

In conclusion, while protocol dictates that a speaker cannot raise concerns at

the second reading; both the Barber and Stadnik households will be available at

this reading to answer any further inquiries regarding this matter if so

requested by council.

Thank you for your time and consideration, while I do not want to seem a burden

or as an obstacle of progress. I felt it was/is my duty to protect my family

and neighbors way of life.
