SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - Pine Seed Court and that portion of

Pine Seed Drive located in Section Fourteen, Garrett Pines



INITIATED BY: Engineering Department





Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of Pine Seed Court

and that portion of Pine Seed Drive located in Section Fourteen, Garrett Pines.



Background: Pine Seed Court and that portion of Pine Seed Drive located in

Section Fourteen, Garrett Pines has (22) Twenty-two residential lots. The

streets have been improved and meet the required specifications for acceptance

by the City.



Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Pine Seed

Court and that portion of Pine Seed Drive located in Section Fourteen, Garrett

Pines. A description of property is as follows: Those certain tracts or

parcels of land designated as that certain extension of Pine Seed Drive and all

of Pine Seed Court as shown on that certain map or plat of survey entitled

"Section Fourteen, Garrett Pines, Part of Land Lot 159, 9th District, Columbus,

Muscogee County, Georgia" as prepared by Hobbs Smith & Assoc., Inc., dated

January 15, 2018, and recorded in Plat Book 165, Folio 237, in the Office of

the Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia.



Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is

assumed after the two-year warranty.



Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: No City funds are involved until

maintenance is assumed after the two-year warranty.



Legal Considerations: In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code,

all dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.



Recommendations/ Actions: Approval is requested for the acceptance of Pine

Seed Court and that portion of Pine Seed Drive located in Section Fourteen,

Garrett Pines.











A RESOLUTION

NO. _____

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO PINE SEED COURT AND THAT

PORTION OF PINE SEED DRIVE LOCATED IN SECTION FOURTEEN, GARRETT PINES ON BEHALF

OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying Pine Seed Court

and that portion of Pine Seed Drive located in Section Fourteen, Garrett Pines,

a full description of property on said deed; and,

WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meet the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said streets and recommends

acceptance of the same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated April 2, 2018 conveying to Columbus, Georgia Pine Seed

Court and that portion of Pine Seed Drive located in Section Fourteen, Garrett

Pines be and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby

authorized to have said deed recorded in the Deed Records in the Office of the

Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee County. A copy of deed is hereto attached

and by this reference made a part of this resolution.
