(1) 1st Reading - An Ordinance amending the Pay Plan for The Consolidated

Government as adopted in the Fiscal Year 2007 Budget Ordinance No. 06-40;

providing educational incentives available to public safety employees and

repealing conflicting provisions; and for other purposes. (Budget Review

Committee)







R E S O L U T I O N S:



(2) Commending and congratulating Stacey Kim, Columbus High Lady Blue Devil

golfer and GSGA Girl?s Player of the Year, who recently competed in the 61st

U.S. Women?s Open Championship. (Councilor Davis)



(3) Commending and congratulating the METRA Transit System for excellence in

public transportation and declaring October 5, 2006 as Communities in Motion

Day. (Councilor Henderson)



(4) Requesting that the Muscogee County School District name a school in memory

of Retired U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Lonnie Jackson. (Councilor Allen)



(5) Expressing appreciation to Mr. Lawton V. Garnto upon his retirement

with the Columbus Police Department, after 35 years of service. (Mayor Pro-Tem

(6) Expressing appreciation to Mr. Clarence T. Moore upon his retirement with
