RULES FOR LITTLE LEAGUES:
Have the staff to check with other cities and counties to see if they have
any rules and regulations in place as it relates to little leagues; and maybe
we can use that as a blueprint. (Request of Councilor Turner Pugh)

RESOLUTION FOR MR. STEVE SHEER:
Have the staff to prepare a resolution congratulating Mr. Steve Sheer, who
was
not only nominated locally, as Volunteer of the Year, but statewide as
Volunteer of
the Year by the Georgia Tennis Association, which coordinates and operates with
USATA & CORTA. (Request of Councilor Davis)

HUGHSTON HOSPITAL:
Have the staff to prepare a resolution congratulating Hughston Hospital
who
ranked Number One in the State dealing with orthopedic surgery practices, as
well
as put in the top five percent in competing with other hospitals known for its
orthopedic surgery practices. (Request of Councilor Davis)

COLUMBUS HIGH VOLLEYBALL TEAM:
Have the staff to prepare a resolution congratulating the Columbus High
School
Girls Volleyball team who won the Regional title, as well as advanced to the
semi-
finals of the State Tournament. (Request of Councilor Henderson)

CHRISTIAN HERITAGE ACADEMY:
Have the staff to prepare a resolution congratulating the Christian
Heritage Academy Girls Volleyball Team who won the National Championship on
last weekend. (Request of Mayor Pro Tem Rodgers)

TO THE CITY MANAGER:
LITTLE LEAGUE CONCERNS:
In the public hearing that?s scheduled for November 20th, let?s have the
Deputy City Manager to ask the question about the rules and procedures; and why
they were strayed away from, dividing the number of players up. (Request of
Councilor Allen)

JUVENILE DRUG COURT:
Have the staff to provide information as to what amount of the $1 million
Statewide allocation was awarded to Muscogee County from the State for the
Juvenile Drug Court. (Request of Councilor Woodson)

BAKER VILLAGE PROJECT:
Have the staff to put the issue of the proposed Baker Village Project on
the
Legislative agenda, to allow us to have some discussion with our legislative
delegation as it relates to what?s possible, with regards to the Federal rules
and
regulations as far as having local participation participating in this proposed
project. (Request of Councilor Turner Pugh)

TAX ABATEMENT:
Have the staff to provide information on the Enterprise Zone portion,
relating to
tax abatement; whereby, if a residence can qualify for tax abatement under the
Enterprise Zone, would they get the same tax credits as a commercial
developer, but would not have to comply with the employee requirement.
