WARREN AVENUE PROPERTY:



Have the staff to provide information on what steps could be taken in

order to give the Warren Avenue property to the YMCA. (Request of Councilor

Allen)

TO THE CITY MANAGER:



WARREN AVENUE PROPERTY:



Have the Administration to get together to determine how to proceed with

the lease considering the stipulations with this property being purchased with

CDBG funds and whose responsibility it would be to reimburse CDBG the $40,000

for the property in order for the City to be able to lease the property to the

YMCA. (Request of Mayor Pro Tem Turner Pugh)

ARTS ALLIANCE:



Let?s have the staff provide a presentation on the arts to show the impact

it has on the children in our community. (Request of Councilor Woodson)

VETERANS PARKWAY STREETSCAPES PROJECT:



Have the staff to meet with the business owners along Veterans Parkway to

explain the plans for this project. Also consider revisiting the plans from

13th Street south approximately three or four blocks where the bulk of the

businesses are located to restructure the project so there would be no U-turns

for citizens attempting to enter those businesses. (Request of Councilor Allen)

RAILS FOR TRAILS:



Let?s have the staff to check to see if there are any biking or jogging

organizations that would be willing to partner with the City for the

trolley/walking/jogging trail. (Request of Councilor Anthony)



Have the staff to continue to try to look for ways to link the rails to

trails project to the Civic Center, running back through some of the hotels,

continuing into the downtown area, to the mall, then to Cooper Creek Park.

Also, let?s continue to work towards having a rubber tire trolley. (Request of

Councilor Henderson)



Have the staff to provide a copy of the ballot for the 1999 SPLOST

referendum. (Request of Councilor McDaniel)
