Dear Chairperson:
Pursuant to House Bill 642 regarding the Board of Elections &
Registration membership, the Chairperson of the Republican Party shall submit
three nominees from which the City Council shall choose the successor of board
members. Mr. U. D. Roberts currently serves as the representative Party. This
term of office of Mr. Roberts will expire on December 31, 2011. This will be
Mr. Roberts?s second term of office on the board; however, pursuant to
Ordinance Number 11-23 he is eligible to serve again. Mr. Roberts will continue
to serve in this seat until a successor is named.
At your earliest convenience, please forward the names and addresses of
three nominees to serve as the Republic Party representative on this board to
my attention at the above address. I have enclosed three bio sketch forms for
you to submit information on the three nominees.

members. Ms. Marietta Taylor currently serves as the representative for the
Democratic Party. This term of office of Ms. Taylor will expire on December 31,
