O R D I N A N C E S:



(1) 2nd Reading - Property located at 7364, 8997, 9163 Macon Road is

proposed for rezoning from RE1 (Residential Estate 1)/SFR3 (Single Family

Residential 3) zoning district to PMUD (Planned Mixed Unit Development) zoning

district. (1-CA-11-Thayer) (Councilor Allen) The proposed uses are Single

Family Residential, Multi-Family Residential and Commercial. The Planning

Advisory Commission recommends approval and the Planning Department recommends

conditional approval. (Approved)



(2) 1st Reading - Property located at 7974 Shinn Drive is proposed for

rezoning from SFR1 (Single Family Residential 1) zoning district to SFR4

(Single Family Residential 4) zoning district. (2-A-11-McClure) (Councilor

McDaniel) The proposed use is Single Family Residential. The Planning Advisory

Commission and the Planning Department recommend approval.



(3) 1st Reading - Property located at 6895, 6285, 6279 and part of 6261

Psalmond Road is proposed for rezoning from RE1 (Real Estate 1) zoning district

to PUD (Planned Unit Development) zoning district. (3-CA-11-Woodruff Co.)

(Councilor McDaniel) The proposed use is Single Family Residential and

Community Commercial Center. The Planning Advisory Commission recommends

approval and the Planning Department recommends conditional approval.



(4) 1st Reading - Property located at 513 14th Street is proposed for rezoning

from LMI (Light Manufacturing Industrial) zoning district to UPT (Uptown)

zoning district. (4-CA-11-Dickson) (Councilor McDaniel) The proposed use is

Place of Worship. The Planning Advisory Commission recommends approval and the

Planning Department recommends conditional approval.



(5) 1st Reading - An ordinance amending the Columbus Code by deleting Section

14-10 and substituting a new Section prohibiting aggressive panhandling; and

for other purposes. (Councilor Barnes)





R E S O L U T I O N S:



(6) Requesting that the local delegation to the Georgia General Assembly

introduce legislation amending O.C.G.A. Section 10-1-358 so that it allows

consolidated governments to enact local laws that are more restrictive than the

provisions of the Secondary Metal Recyclers Act contained at O.C.G.A. Sections

10-1-350 et seq. (Councilor Davis) (Approved)
