AN ORDINANCE REGULATING VEHICULAR TRAFFIC IN COLUMBUS, GEORGIA BY
AMENDING CITY CODE SECTION 20-5.2 INCREASING OR DECREASING STATE SPEED LIMIT IN
DESIGNATED ZONES APPROVED BY ORDINANCE 05-2, AND SECTION 20-5.3 STREETS
DESIGNATED FOR SPEED ENFORCEMENT USING RADAR AND OTHER SPEED DETECTION DEVICES
APPROVED BY ORDINANCE 05-3, TO CHANGE EXISTING THE SCHOOL ZONE TIMES OF 7:00 AM
TO 9:00 AM, 2:00 PM TO 4:00 PM TO NEW SCHOOL ZONE TIMES OF 7:00 AM TO 9:00 AM,
2:30 PM TO 4:30 PM; AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF OFFICIAL TRAFFIC CONTROL
SIGNS; REPEALING ANY CONFLICTING ORDINANCE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I.
That the existing School Zone times described in City Code Section
20-5.2 Increasing or decreasing state speed limit in designated zones approved
by Ordinance 05-2 are hereby amended from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, 2:00 PM to 4:00
PM to change to new School Zone times of 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
SECTION II.
That the existing School Zone times described in City Code Section
20-5.3 Streets designated for speed enforcement using radar and other speed
detection devices approved by Ordinance 05-3 are hereby amended from 7:00 AM to
9:00 AM, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM to change to new School Zone times of 7:00 AM to
9:00 AM, 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
SECTION III.
That official traffic control signs indicating ?speed limits? and
?school zone time limits? described in Sections I and II shall be installed.
SECTION IV.
That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this
ordinance are hereby repealed.
