I. EXTENSION OF CELL TOWER LEASE (CROWN CASTLE) 3569 SOUTH LUMPKIN ROAD:



Authorization is requested to extend the existing cell tower lease agreement

with Crown Castle, Inc., at 3569 South Lumpkin Road until 2032. The extension

will increase the monthly rental from $302.50 to $900 per month with annual

increases based on the Consumer Price Index and a four - five year automatic

II. FY12 PUBLIC DEFENDER'S CONTRACT:



Authorization is requested to enter into an agreement for Indigent Defense

Services between Circuit Public Defender Office of the Chattahoochee Judicial

Circuit and Muscogee County for $1,243,807, and authorize payment to Georgia

Public Defender Standards Council (GPDSC) for $759,497 plus the administrative

III. GEMA / GBI HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT - MOBILE BIOMETRIC FINGERPRINT

IDENTIFICATION DEVICE:



Authorization is requested to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the

Georgia Emergency Management Agency/Georgia Bureau of Investigation $21,350 (or

otherwise awarded) for the acquisition of Biometric Fingerprint Identification

devices (aka RapidID) for the Sheriff's Office. An agenda report and

IV. COUNCIL OF JUVENILE COURT JUDGES OF GEORGIA GRANT :



Authorization is requested to submit an application, and if approved, accept a

grant for $7,500 or that approved amount from the Council of Juvenile Court

Judges of Georgia for the Purchase of Services Grant. An agenda report and

V. FY11 EDWARD BYRNE MEMORIAL JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT:



Authorization is requested to submit an application, and if approved, accept a

grant for $127,260 from the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance (JAG)

grant for Federal Fiscal Year 2011, with no local match requirement, to be used

by eligible departments for eligible projects as defined in the grant. An

VI. EARLY CHILDHOOD SYSTEM OF CARE & HOME VISITING PROGRAM:



Authorization is requested to submit an application, and if approved, accept a

grant for $450,000 from the Governor?s Office for Children and Families

(federal Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program) and

adjust the Multi-Governmental Fund by the grant amount. An agenda report and

Authorization is requested for the acceptance of a deed to that portion of

Essex Heights Trail located in Section Two, Wooldridge Heights. The Department

of Engineering has inspected this street and recommends the acceptance. An

A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference/Site Visit will be held on Wednesday, August

10, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Vendors shall convene in the Keep Columbus Beautiful

office, which is located at 685 Front Avenue, Columbus GA.

1. Long Distance Telephone Services (Annual Contract) ? RFP No. 12-0001

Scope of RFP

Provide Columbus Consolidated Government with professional long distance

telephone services. The contract term shall be for three years, with the

option to renew for two additional twelve-month periods.



August 19, 2011

1. Cellular Telephone Services (Annual Contract) ? RFP No. 12-0001

Scope of RFP

Provide Columbus Consolidated Government with cellular phone services for City

owned cellular telephones. The services shall include establishing a rate

plan, a purchase contract and offer City employees a special rate for using the

same service provider for privately owned cellular telephones. The contract

term shall be for three years, with the option to renew for two additional

twelve-month periods.

1. Keep Columbus Beautiful - Building Rehabilitation ? RFB No. 12-0005

Scope of Bid

The work includes rehabilitation to the building exterior including

rehabilitation of all windows, removing and replacing damaged boards, and

painting; installation of all new HVAC units, including provision for new

service from existing utilities; repainting of selected interior walls,

ceilings and wood trim; rehabilitation and repair or wood strip flooring; and

replacement and repair of exterior wood decking, porch beams and columns, where

needed.
